 MelaMatik relies on the generosity and warm-heartedness of our budding team of volunteers to programme and support our enormous and exciting festival of fun and joy. Events don't just happen on their own. They take hours of meticulous planning and preparation to accomplish fabulous, friendly and enjoyable events.
MelaMatik is unique for a large city festival in giving everybody the opportunity to become one of the team. As well as putting on specific in-house events, we offer the chance for the music-loving people to join in fun and host your own, officially promoted events.
Musicians, technicians, producers, engineers, set designers, visual artists, record labels, flier distributors, chefs, bar staff, glass collectors, journalists, printers, and lots, lots more. Everybody behind and in-front of the scenes involved with our concerts, gigs, recitals and club nites all play an equally important role in helping make MelaMatik one of Northern England's most universally-diverse happenings.
